☀️ First grade ditched the classroom walls and headed outside to catch some serious wind. The students got creative 🎨 making their own kites from scratch, and then it was time to see them soar. 🪁 Watching those homemade creations dance across the sky? Pure magic. Nothing beats learning with the sun on your face and a little friendly competition to see whose kite could climb the highest. Mother Nature delivered the perfect conditions, and the students absolutely delivered the fun. 🌬️✨

We are so excited to highlight Kamdyn Gilliland as one of the talented artists featured in the Southwest Art Silent Auction!
Kam has a true passion for drawing, and it shows in every piece she creates! What makes her artwork especially unique is her love for experimenting with different artistic styles. She isn’t afraid to try something new, push her creativity, and explore fresh techniques- and that versatility makes her work stand out.
Outside of the art room, Kam enjoys listening to music and playing basketball, bringing that same energy and rhythm into her creative process.
One of Kamdyn’s goals for the future is to continue improving her artistic skills and to sell even more of her artwork. We can’t wait to see where her talent and determination take her.
Be sure to support Kamdyn and all of the incredible student artists at the silent auction on March 25th at Southwest Livingston County R-1!
