When weather or other situations occur that call for the cancellation or early dismissal of school we will use the following methods of notification: Code RED (A link can be found on the school’s website to sign up for this), Southwest R-1 Facebook Page, Southwest R-1 mobile app and KCTV5.

FFA members took part in the Annual Fleece Blanket Tying event, members tied 150 blankets that were donated to Children's Mercy Hospital and local homeless shelters in support of the C4C Initiative. 🎄

What a heartwarming day….these kids spent the day bringing cheer to others…but…oh did the residents bring joy to us as well!!
Our FCCLA got the opportunity to visit Morningside, Livingston Manor, Chillicothe Manor, Hillcrest Manor in Hamilton and the Veterans Home in Cameron. Our students made tie blankets, ornaments and cards for residents and delivered candy canes and dolls/stuffed animals as well!! Thanks Brett Dawkins for driving us and Amanda Kline for helping w cards and going w us, Shay Summers for helping w cards and ornaments!
